One person has been confirmed dead and 18 others injured after a Toyota Corolla car with Delta State registration number SAP 244 AA and a Toyota Hiace bus with Rivers State registration number LG 30 ABU collided on the East-West Road on Friday morning.
The incident occurred at Elele Alimini about 20 kilometres from Ahoada.
The Toyota bus, belonging to an unnamed local government in Rivers State, was completely razed in the crash.
The dead and injured were taken to the General Hospital, Ahoada.
The incident was confirmed by the Rivers State Sector Commander, Federal Road Safety Commission, Dr. Kayode Olagunju.
