Jim Koch is a man of many titles: founder and chairman of Boston Beer (SAM), craft-brew pioneer, and even longtime commercial actor for his flagship beer, Samuel Adams. But according to one TV station, he’s a “Chocolate Beer Specialist.”
One blog compiled some of the strangest and most entertaining job titles you’ll find on TV, from “Hot Dog Choreographer” to “Penguinologist” to “Freelance Sperm Donor.” Some of the designations are fairly self-explanatory, like the man escorting a nude model while wearing a shirt emblazoned with “Contestant Escort.” (We’ve got a pretty good idea about the nature of the contest.)
But others beg for further explanation, such as the man in the pirate outfit who serves as the “Town Crier.” And the woman who, as credits roll on some nondescript channel 4, lights up the screen with the appellation “Head of Potatoes.” Mostly, though, we’d be curious to know if those “Nude Female Web Designer” positions were ever successfully staffed.
