"Trust Us With Your Life" (Tue., 9:00 p.m. ET on ABC) marries the fun of improv comedy with star power. Ricky Gervais brought his giggle and manic self to the stage in this week's episode, and just as he cracks up quite regularly during his podcast -- and the HBO animated series based on it, "The Ricky Gervais Show" -- he simply couldn't keep it together.
The comics were acting out a story Gervais told about being hungry on his way to the Golden Globes, with Gervais participating. He wasn't supposed to talk in the sketch, but he broke character several times and laughed continuously.
But he got through it, even planting a reluctant kiss on Wayne Brady's cheek along the way. It was all in good fun and proved that the success of the show often lies in the celebrity guest. Mark Cuban was on the first episode, and simply didn't generate as many laughs as Gervais was able to.
New celebrities have their stories interpreted on "Trust Us With You Life," Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET on ABC.
