A woman was seriously injured early this morning when she was struck by a car as she was apparently trying to cross Hertel Avenue near Parkside Avenue, according to the Buffalo Police accident investigation unit.
The incident took place at about 3:30 a.m.
The car was headed west on Hertel when it hit the woman, whom police identified as being in her 30s.
The victim was rushed to Erie County Medical Center where she was listed in critical condition today.
No charges have been filed against the driver.
Police identified the driver only as a "male" with addresses in Buffalo and the Town of Tonawanda.
