An accident this morning involving a motorcycle and a car has resulted in the closure of westbound Main Street in the Town of Amherst.
The accident was reported at about 8:30 a.m., according to Amherst Fire Control. It occurred near 6034 Main St., which is between Melrose and Oakland roads.
Westbound lanes are closed between Youngs and Oakland roads, according to the Niagara International Transportation Technology Coalition.
