Cats, Blues regain key players

Geelong have regained four premiership players for Friday night's crucial AFL round-11 clash with fellow finals contenders Carlton at Etihad Stadium.

Defending premiers Geelong have named pacy defender David Wojcinski, 31, for his 200th game and first this year after battling injury and serving a VFL suspension.

Joel Corey, Corey Enright and Tom Hawkins also return along with second-year player Steven Motlop.

The seventh-placed Cats have dumped five members of their younger brigade following last week's win over Greater Western Sydney, with Jesse Stringer, Tom Gillies, Billie Smedts, Jordan Schroder and Lincoln McCarthy all making way.

Eighth-placed Carlton, with three losses in their past four outings, have also been strengthened at the selection table with ruck/forward Matthew Kreuzer among three inclusions.

Halfbacks Lachie Henderson and Nick Duigan also return from injury for the Blues who have left out Ed Curnow, Paul Bower and injured defender Heath Scotland (calf).
